Fireman by trade, but also trained as an acrobatic dancer, diver and smoke diver. Interested in motorbikes and skiing, Tom is involved in anything that involves speed and excitement.

Currently living in Kongsberg, Tom is originally from Øvre Jondalen, growing up in an area that has kept the traditions of the Hardanger fiddle, traditional Norwegian songs (kveding) and dance.

Tom started dancing at the age of 7 as a member of the “Småjondølene” and has continued to be a member ever since. The membership was first under the management of Karin W. Brennesvik and later Robert Dokken. Today Tom takes part in teaching the younger dancers.
After being involved in dancing for some time, Tom started to participate in “kappleiker” (traditional dancing competitions). Starting as a category C dancer, Tom worked his way up through category B to becoming a category A dancer. In 2003 and 2004, he became the Norwegian Champion of “Lausdans”.
